What sort of activities/experiences can I find on eXpertLocal?

                    The experiences we have on eXpertLocal are designed by every day people like you, so you will never know what you will find! We plan to include all kinds of activities such as local experiences, underground tours, small bar crawls, foodie trails, gay friendly events, kids friendly events and all kinds of things to do and see. So if you have an idea of what you would like and it isn't listed as yet, why not create your own experience or contact us and we will see what we can do!                    

Why should I book experiences using your payment system?

                    We've spent the time developing the eXpertLocal payment system to be flexible, hassle free and as secure as possible. As a result, our payment system allows us to give you the best and most secure way to book experiences as well as meet the practices set down by the appropriate governing bodies. It also protects both hosts and guests in case of cancellations or scams, enables eXpertLocal support to send you notifications and updates about your bookings. Basically we've done the hard work in developing the best possible payment gateway so you can focus on offering your experiences.                    

I'd like to get more information on an experience. Who do I ask?

                    Don't be shy, ask the host! Click the 'Ask me a Question' link on an experience page and leave them a message. You can message a host as much as you need to on eXpertLocal to make sure it works for you.                    

What if an activity doesn't have dates shown?

                    If an eXpertLocal experience is listed but doesn't have any dates for events, that means there's no scheduled events coming up in the near future or has sold out. You can always ask the host by clicking 'Ask me a Question' on the experience page if you are keen. You never know- your interest could be the thing that inspires the very next event!                    

Is there an itinerary for my booking?

                    Yes. eXpertLocal will send you an email confirming your booking with the link to your printable online itinerary. You can also track your bookings in your Dashboard by clicking 'Manage Your Purchases' tab.                    

Can I bring my pet dog?

                    Brining your favourite four paw along for an experience on eXpertLocal does sound like fun but first, you need to consider a few things. First of all, it depends on the event and the host, some may simply not be pet friendly. Please check the experience page or contact the host for particulars. Also, be sure that if you wish to bring a dog on a tour that any venues that are included or modes of transport that may be involved are checked prior to bringing Fido along. Whilst your host may be OK, Sydney Ferries or a bar owner may not be. If in doubt, ask, because the last thing you want is to be stranded on experience day!                    

Can I contact a host before booking his/her experience?

                    Yes. You can message a host by sending him/her a message via eXpertLocal. Once your booking is confirmed, you'll also be able to view the host's contact number in case you have a last minute emergency.                    

How do I print my itinerary/event details?

                    A link to your itinerary is in the email confirmation you receive from the eXpertLocal site. Or you can make use of the Manage Your Purchases tab of your Dashboard and view and print event/experience details.                    

I'm having problems with my credit card, what do I do?

                    The best thing to do is to check the details you have registered on your eXpertLocal account to ensure the details are still true and correct and if so, check to see if the daily limit hasn't been exceeded, or that the card hasn't expired or the security code was correctly entered. The best thing to do if all of this information is OK is to contact your bank to see if there is  not a problem at their end.                    

My host did not show up at the meeting point, what do I do?

                    Ouch...really? Ok, first thing to do is to try and contact the host and see if they have a reasonable explanation. Don't forget their contact number is in the itinerary found in the booking details of your Dashboard (also in the confirmation email you received) so make use of it if you get no luck through eXpertLocal. If you're unable to contact the host, contact us at support@eXpertLocal.com and we'll work out a solution for you. You will receive a full refund in any case.
